Maria Griswold

Hello to whoever is reading this. My name is Maria Griswold, and I am eleven years old. My hair is brown, my eyes are blue, my skin is fair, and I don't have any freckles. I like to wear a cute blue skirt, a pink shirt, a white ribbon, and pink sneakers. In fact, most of my clothes are pink, blue, or white.

As for my personality, I am friendly when it comes to talking to new people. Not afraid to protect my friends from danger, and I love sweets. I do like to learn about new things like magic, and will try to learn everything about it, because it is interesting. I hate bugs, the dark, and when my parents punish me, when I accidentally break something like a vase. We even have a white cat named Mr. Fluffy, and he is the cutest thing ever.

Now about me and my family. Mommy's name is Amy, daddy's name is Damon, and my annoying big brother's name is Alex. We live in Castle Caereinion, Wales, because my parents thought that it was a good idea to move there from Germany. Both of my parents work in the Ministry of Magic, but in different departments. My mom works in the Department of Magical Transportation while my dad works in the Department of Magical Games and Sports. Even my big brother, Alex, works in the Ministry of Magic, but he works in the Atrium. Mommy used to be a Hufflepuff, daddy was a Ravenclaw, and Alex was a Gryffindor when they went to Hogwarts.
I had to be homeschooled to get my education, so I am used to seeing a bunch of household magic around my house.
Even though, my parents knew I was going to be a great witch one day. They prevented me from using their wands when I was younger. I mean, I thought it was a normal stick during that time, so I wanted to swing it around, and make swooshing noises with it.
About my white cat, his name is Mr. Fluffy, and he was a birthday gift on my birthday. I love him so much, since he was a cute kitten during that time.

My first instance of accidental underaged wandless magic was at night. Remember how I said I hate bugs and the dark. Yeah. I had a nightmare of a giant spider trying to get me when I was five years old, because I didn't have a night light. This then caused me to hiccup random bubbles, because I was scared. My parents were in the living room watching the tv while this was happening. It was only when I screamed spider during my sleep talking, did they go to my room. Upon them entering my room, my parents noticed the hiccuping bubbles from my mouth, and crying in my sleep at the same time.
Not wanting to wake me up from my sleep, they walked towards the side of my bed, and patted my head, so I would calm down.
That trick worked on me, and the hiccuping bubbles disappeared once I calmed down. Mommy gave me a good-night kiss upon seeing that, and she left my room with daddy afterwards.

Their reaction towards the hiccuping bubbles happened the next day, and oh boy, it was something else. Mommy wouldn't stop talking about that, and kept saying that their little princess had become a witch. As for Daddy, he didn't seem to be too concerned about the hiccuping bubbles situation in my room yesterday. However, I had a feeling that he was secretly proud of me for having my first accidental underaged wandless magic. They just didn't want anyone to see his reaction, because of how mommy was reacting. Alex had no clue what our parents were talking about, because he was asleep in his room when my first accidental underaged wandless magic happened.
I also had no clue what my parents were talking about when they were talking about the hiccuping bubbles situation, because I was asleep when that happened. They had to explain to me what accidental underaged wandless magic is, since it was a bit of a new thing for me to learn about that. ( They totally didn't forget to bring up the accidental underaged wandless magic topic during my homeschooling, because they were busy with their job. ...Ok. They did, but they were able to explain it to five years old me afterwards. )

Thank you for reading this, and I can't wait to go to Hogwarts. I hope I end up being a Hufflepuff like my mom, but I don't expect that to happen.
P.S. I am not bringing Mr. Fluffy to Hogwarts, because my parents and Alex are taking care of my cat at home. I forgot to mention that my parents are wizard-born, and my brother is a half-blood.
( The face claim isn't drawn by me, and thank you for the compliment for the surname, Ms. Edelhardt. )
@Ms. Edelhardt: Oh. I got a bit confused about what a wizard-born character's house life is like.
