Samantha Foster is an 11-year-old girl who stands around 5'3" tall. Her complexion is fair. She also has a perfectly proportioned face with brown, almond-shaped eyes, with rectangular glasses sitting in front of them. She also usually leaves her hair messy, but she usually fixes it on special occasions. Her body is slim, and her legs are a bit long, which contributes to most of her height.

Samantha is the type of person who would usually stay quiet when she's part of a crowd she's unfamiliar with. She would also behave herself since she wanted to make a good first impression. She also isn't the type of person to make the first move and talk to other people; she wanted others to go to her and interact with her. She usually gets attention by either looking at a group or doing something she thinks other people would appreciate, such as making a few sketches from time to time. Once she gets a few close friends, she starts to become more outgoing and occasionally a bit loud. She also tends to be daring as she is willing to do some risky things people wouldn't normally do. She also tends to become more vocal about not wanting to study when she's with her friends.

Samantha does not have any mental illness, although as mentioned earlier, her being a daredevil usually gets her into trouble and even harm.

Before Samantha got into Hogwarts, she lived in London with her parents, Tom and Hazel, both of who are Muggles. They treated Samantha nicely, but not too nice as to make Samantha a spoiled child. She received her basic education there and got pretty good grades. She was the unpopular one, though. Some of the kids didn't even treat her nicely. Samantha handled it pretty well at first, but as time went on, she started to break down. She couldn't control her pain and her emotions. This lead to when she first accidental wandless magic.

One day, Samantha saw her bullies coming at her from behind. She walked away, not wanting to start some sort of quarrel. She kept walking and walking until she got to a dead end. She panicked and looked behind her, seeing that the other kids have already caught up with her. Samantha mumbled that they should leave her alone, which lead to a roar of laughter from the group. The kids did mean things to her, and Samantha, putting her hands up to fend for herself, shouted, "Stop it!"

Samantha was quite surprised that the kids stopped. She looked at them, and she understood why; they were all down on the floor, as if she pushed them all with great force. Samantha didn't know how this happened as she was sure that she kept her hands to herself the entire time. Before the group started to have any idea what's going on, Samantha ran away and hid somewhere until her parents could pick her up. Once they got home, Samantha explained everything to her parents. When Samantha asked if this was normal, Tom and Hazel just looked at each other as if they are conflicted whether or not they should say that they have never encountered an instance like that. In the end they just assured Samantha that whatever she did to those kids, she didn't mean it and she just did it to defend herself.

Thankfully, those kids stopped minding Samantha after that incident, but something tells her that they were somehow scared of her. It made her uncomfortable, but she tried to get on with her normal life.

Other than the incident that happened, there were other times when Samantha accidentally used her magic. One of these instances was when she made her pen stand without any support whatsoever after she was done writing her notes. Another was when she tripped as she was running down the hallway since she was late for classes. When she was about to land face-first on the floor, she braced for impact; but she was surprised when she didn't feel the pain from falling. She even felt more shocked when she saw that her nose was less than an inch away from the floor. She stood up immediately and continued rushing to her classroom and thought about how weird yet great it was that she didn't get to her class with a broken nose.
