Physical Description: Alex is a a short, chubby boy of about 140 cm (4'7") and 50 kg (110 lbs.). He has untidy, brown hair that often falls into his eyes. Mental Description: He is incredibly stubborn, often refusing to give in to pressure from others. However, when he starts to doubt himself he gives up much faster. He is incredibly awkward and uncomfortable in crowds. As he was used to constant activity in his childhood before Hogwarts, he tries to constantly be doing something.
Biography: Alex was born in London, England, to a young Russian woman named Angela Markov. His mother was in the city due to her own mother, Olga, being in the hospital due to an emergency surgery. Alex was born while his grandmother was recovering from her appendectomy. When Alex, Angela, and Olga were all cleared for long-term travel, they flew back to Moscow. Alex was raised there for the next eight years. In October of 2018, Angela and Alex moved to London after Olga passed away. This severely disrupted his education, the limited English pronunciation he knew not being helpful in Year 4, where spelling tests and class-readings tanked his English grade. He came home with averages of 68% in English, 98% in Maths, and 70% in Science. After his first magic instance and when he was finally becoming close to being fluent in English, his Hogwarts letter came.
First Instance of Magic: Alex was 'studying' in his room, feeling incredibly angry at his mother for moving him to London. He thought that she should have just found his dad and left him with him, that would've been better. He had surrounded himself in furious thoughts to the point that he hadn't done any schoolwork in hours. Angela stopped by his door to check on him and asked how he was, to which Alex responded by thrusting his palm at her in a 'stop' motion. The motion caused the door to slam shut, causing Angela to scream and Alex to startle. It wasn't incredibly obvious that it was magic to either of them - Alex's window was open, maybe it was just a strange gust of wind, they thought. It turned out it wasn't, when in the summer of 2021 a professor from a school called 'Hogwarts' knocked on the door of their apartment.
