Echo Kato is a strange girl, but one that everyone cannot help but love. She is shy, not very social, but she is smart as a whip and calm about almost every situation. She says no to every boy that asks her out. She has long, black hair that is usually tied into a braid, and her black eyes are some strange mix between dreamy and aware.
She was born in Shibuya, Japan, and moved to Birmingham after an incident with her parents that no one knows the details of. Her older brother, Andrew, simply says that their father and mother were taken aback when they found out that both of their children were magical, and left the next day. The two of them are currently in foster care until her brother turns 18 or someone adopts them.
Andrew is a third-year Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, and shares his sister's brainpower and introversion. He loves his sister dearly, and the two are together when ever they can.
Echo was only 5 years old when their parents left, but secretly she dreams of finding them again one day. She hopes that they are there, and will reunite with her and Andrew. Her greatest fear is losing her brother, and her main values are equality, love, and intelligence. She is particularly interested in Transfiguration, Potions, and Charms.
