Jess Heartfilla is a brown-skinned girl with brown eyes. She has long black hair which she likes to keep either braided or in a ponytail so that her hair can keep from her face.

Jess is rebellious when it comes to certain things like not following rules that are completely bogus. She is very adventurous, curious, creative, and clumsy. She loves trying new things and loves learning new things as well. She loves playing the cello, her parents put her in cello lessons ever since she was a little girl. Her attention span is very short so the topic she is learning or talking about has to be interesting in order to keep her attention. She's nice and helpful but at the same time, she does not tolerate disrespect from anyone.

Brianna Locke was born in Manhattan a New York City borough in New York. She went abroad to the University of Manchester for her first year studying cognitive neuroscience and psychology. There she met Michael Heartfilla who was born in Manchester himself and was studying law. Both were muggle-born and they both fell in love with one another. They both graduated and stayed in Manchester where they had three kids; Jess Heartfilla, Michael Jr. Heartfilla, and Adrianna Heartfilla. Michael was always in his office looking over cases and Brianna was a workaholic, the kids would play inside the house or outside. Michael trusted the kids on their own when Jess was eight because they were all one year apart and were very responsible (Only Adrianna was responsible, but she looked over her siblings). Although the parents were always busy that didn't stop them from traveling and exploring the world with their kids.

Jess is the oldest out of the children and was always in trouble usually because she was defending her younger brother Michael Jr. from bullies. Jess claims not to like Michael Jr. but deep down she will always be ready to defend him and she loves him. Jess was the type who always wanted to do something the word boring was not in her vocabulary. Michael Jr., who the family calls MJ, is one year younger than Jess and has a very slick mouth. Always had something to say but never knew how to back it up. Jess and MJ were always fighting with one another because MJ loves going around starting chaos. Adrianna is the youngest out of the children and is the calmest. She is a year younger than MJ and is the most responsible of them all. She is loyal to her siblings even though they annoy her very much. MJ always tries to get a rise out of her but never can. Jess finds Adrianna interesting because she and Adrianna are complete opposites. The children love to play together and whether they would admit it or not they were all best friends.

Jess had only two friends growing up (besides her siblings), Destini and Bruno Whit who were twins. Destini and Bruno lived down the street from Jess. Bruno was the shy type and at first, was scared of Jess and her siblings, Destini was not the welcoming type and it was hard for both of them to make friends. Destini and Bruno met Jess and her siblings after they returned their lost cat to them. After that day Jess and her siblings would always go to the Whit's house to ask Destini and Bruno to come out and play. Destini and Bruno never liked the idea and always made up excuses until one day they finally said yes. Since that day Jess, Destini, Bruno, MJ, and Adrianna were all friends and had many adventures on the streets of Manchester. Jess enjoys her life with her friends and family.

It was really just a normal day and it was about dinner time. Jess and her siblings said bye to Destini and Bruno and made their way home. Jess, MJ, and Adrianna started to set up the table for dinner, and Brianna, Jess's mother, was putting the food on the table. Everyone took their sits and started to eat and talk about their day. MJ would always make a joke about Jess and that night he did again and the arguing between the two commenced. However, MJ wanted to go even further in annoying Jess. So he took a spoon filled with rice and flicked it towards Jess's way. Jess looked at the grains of rice coming towards her and not even one grain of rice touched her they were all frozen in mid-air and just floated there until they finally dropped onto the table. The whole family knew Jess was different but not that much different.
