Kio was born into a small but proud family. They claim to have magical lineage going back to the time of the druids but Kio really isn’t so sure about that. He more thinks that is just his family's way of making it seem they are more important than they are. Kio is the oldest sibling with only a younger sister to follow him in the world of magic.

Despite not being sure on his family lineage was he was very anxious for the day that his magic would awaken, allowing him to earn his entrance letter to Hogwarts. As his eleventh birthday approached he found he was getting more and more anxious for nothing had happened. He refused to believe that he did not have any magical ability, but would he be able to gain access to Hogwarts, the school his family had always gone to, without doing  something to demonstrate his abilities? 

The day before his birthday he found himself being angry and threw a glass at the wall, only to find that it never made it to the wall but instead painted the wall in blood. A bit disturbed by this he quickly cleaned the wall up removing any trace. It wasn’t until he was done cleaning did he realize that he had performed his first bit of magic.
