Physical Description: Though "athletic" might not be how anyone would describe Jonah Darden, the casual observer must admit that he is more solidly framed than expected. Muscular and stocky underneath mountains of sweaters, Jonah tends to hide his features. He has short curly hair, which his mother has managed to finally figured out how to style. He has brown eyes and brown hair, which he likes because they "match".


Mental Description: Jonah is a reserved kid. He coasted through school just being that kid in the back. He's incredibly smart, though he hides that too. When his wall is down, which is more often than he likes to think, Jonah is a sweet, bubbly kid who would do anything for anyone in need. He also knows way too much about science, and considers his magic to be an extension of the universe he's learned so much about.

Biography: Jonah Darden is the son of two university professors. His mother advances her research in physics with graduate students, while his father is a professor of Engineering. A muggle-born, magic was far from the minds of anyone in his household. Certainly on the family's mind was how Jonah possessed magical abilities, while the eldest, Jonathan, did not. Time will tell if Jonah will be joined by his younger sister, Juniper.

First Instance of Magic: While in his science class, Jonah attempted to find the perfect balance ratio of blue trucks to purple bears, as these were the units of weight offered by his year 3 teacher. In his concentration, he accidentally made the lighter side even- on his own. Though small, he knew he had somehow changed the weight of the scale. His parents thought this anecdote about school very amusing, until their son replicated his feat in front of their eyes.
