Born on May 22, Poppy is the daughter of a British banker and a French nurse who came to live in England after her studies. Pops has two brothers: Noah, 13, and Reece, 15. Poppy is a young girl full of life, but with her own character: if something doesn't please her, she will let you know. Despite everything, she finds it difficult to talk about her feelings, but is quite able to reach out to others.
Physically, she has short, blonde hair as well as blue eyes. She is of normal size for her age and has a rather pale complexion.
The girl gets along well with her parents, but things are sometimes a little more complicated with her two brothers. Indeed, the two teenagers often argue, and this from an early age. It didn't have much of an impact on their sister other than the fact that she didn't like hearing her brothers arguing, but things changed when Pops' powers emerged. Noah sees his sister as a different person, who can harm others with magic.
Reece and Noah argue more and more since they know Pops is a witch, Reece strongly disagrees with her brother. Noah behaves coldly and nastily with his younger sister, who can't stand this new Noah she sees every day.

His parents were amazed to learn that their daughter is a witch because he had no knowledge of the wizarding world. Despite this, he continues to behave as before with Pops, and often argues with Noah for the same reasons as Reece.

Pops' powers were discovered when she was 9 years old. The little girl was in the garden with Noah and two of his friends, and the three boys refused to pass the ball to Pops. She went sulking in her corner, and as her brother's friends were leaving, the ball came to her without her asking. His parents, who saw the scene through the window, were astonished.

The departure of Pops for Hogwarts is complicated, the young girl finds it difficult to say to herself that she will leave so far from her family.
Despite that, she can't wait to discover this new world that awaits her.
