The bloodline of Dianis Arten has always been pure, every family member a witch or wizard. She is from Russia, but also has a name in English, and has spent the whole of her childhood traveling between these two countries (her mother is half-English). Unlike her mother's glistening gold, Dianis has hair mixed colored hair, some strands dark and others lighter. Her skin is not exactly ivory, but still relatively white, and her eyes are between turquoise and blue. Dianis can play the piano to a professional level, without the help of magic. She has a slightly stubborn personality, never letting go until she gets what she wants. She doesn't follow the rules all the time, refusing to be restricted. Even so, she is considered to be near perfect to the muggles, who are fascinated by her beauty and terrific talents. Dianis' friends call her Diane or Dine, and she is sort of their leader. (Her friends all know of magic) Her best friend died in a car crash at the age ten, so Diane hates the rules that restrict magic, because or else her friend could have been saved. (She tried to bring her friend back to life but, since she had no magical abilities in this region, failed) Dianis was sure to receive a letter from Hogwarts.She dreams of one day becoming a world famous witch, and works hard for it everyday.
The first time Dianis performed magic was at age three (she can still remember the incident). Her mother and father were away, and for some reason the nanny didn't come, so Dianis went to buy supplies from the market. She got there only to find suspicious men following her, and so, unconsciously, she became invisible until returning home.
It is rumored that if you stare into Dianis' eyes for a few minutes, she would be able to take control of you, but it remains just a rumor. Dianis has heard more than once that her grandmother was a Veela, but her parents refuse to tell her the truth. When Dianis was seven, she stole her cousin's broomstick and actually successfully rode it for a few moments, eventually falling off.
Dianis' parents work in the Russian ministry of magic (the diplomatic region) and are always at workand traveling, so she grew up alone and taught herself to never trust anyone too much. She can also hide her feelings and emotions extremely well, without anyone finding out. After receiving her wand, Dianis practiced almost all the spells she had the ability and time to master, preparing for Hogwarts.
One night of the full moon, a seven year old Dianis was sitting on the railing of her porch when she saw a werewolf rip the flesh of a muggle living a few stories beneath her (her old home was an apartment), and she quickly raced down to the ground, but the muggle was already turned. The two werewolves turned on her, but luckily a wizard saw her and used a spell to scare them away. The creatures' mouths were less than an inch from Dianis' arm at the moment. The strange wizard disappeared without a word, and the next day Dianis' family moved away. The muggle cops thought the turned muggle got kidnapped and searched for months.
