Physical Description: Alistair has light brown, short cropped hair. Sharp blue eyes study the world around him. He stands at just over five feet, and has a sturdy, well muscled frame for his age due to working with his father in the family forge, since he turned seven. He is reasonably well dressed, and while right handed, has a reasonable level of ambidexterity.

Mental Description: Alistair is studious, always curious to learn more about the world around him. He is a hard-working young man as well, helping his father in the forge since he was seven along with keeping up with his home-schooling. While is is rather introverted, and isn’t overly good at reading people’s emotions, he is nonetheless kind and caring.

Biography: Family: Richard Blackwall, 42: Richard’s father owned a forge in a small village in Norfolk, training young Richard in the art of metalworking. Richard took what he had learned and through some careful negotiations expanded the family workshop to supply a much wider area, allowing him to provide a far more comfortable lifestyle for his family.
Emily Blackwall, 29: Emily married into the Blackwall family just as Richard was beginning to expand his property. Emily was born in magical London, to a reasonably old family. Though officially disowned for marrying a muggle, her father secretly invested in the Blackwall business.


First Instance of Magic: Alistair’s first incident of instinctive magic came when he was the age of nine. While helping his father in the workshop, he managed to trip while carrying a bar of hot iron with tongs, and protective clothing. By all rights, when he let go and it flew up, it should have come crashing down onto him. Instead, he and his father stared in amazement at the floating, glowing bar. His father quickly recovered and pulled his son away just before it hit the ground in a spray of sparks.
