Physical Description: Yasuo is darker-skinned than most Scottish people, having parents of Japanese origin. His eyes are amber like his mother's, though much like her, by aid of muggle contacts rather than an inherent trait — his true eyes are the black of goblins. His hair is messy and dark brown, often ruffled despite his best efforts and held back by clips. His form is average for an eleven year old, though he is noticeably quite short, and his robes being worn so often(as per school rules) only serves to make him seem even more unidentifiable and diminutive.

Mental Description: To most people aside from his parents, Yasuo is shy and anxious and polite and utterly devoid of any other trait. However, this outer mask projects his social anxiety to the forefront in order to hide the sharp, voracious learner below. Inside his own head, Yasuo is highly observant and constantly taking in as much information as he can, and although he truly is a nervous sort, he molds that to an extreme -- or a deficit -- depending on how other people are acting and reacting to him. This keen, determined resolve not to be caught off-guard comes from a life of being, outwardly, very much the studious easy prey of his early years in muggle education, as well as being the firstborn of parents foreign to the country he calls home. Yasuo is shy... but he's ruthlessly torn into his own faults in order to turn them into defenses only his most beloved few may cross.

Biography: Yasuo's family, witch and half-goblin Hama and muggle civilian Makoto, traveled to Scotland years before Yasuo was born in the hope of living a much quieter life, after Hama was horribly and damagingly disgraced by her social group; for her lineage on the human side, and choices in mate on the goblin end. As such, Yasuo's home is one carefully shaped to draw the least possible attention, fitting all the stereotypes of an immigrant family utterly assimilated into Scottish ideals. Very few pieces of his heritage culture survived these changes, but he doesn't feel the loss overmuch; his parents worried monitoring of not only his health, but his safety and education, left no room to miss a thing he'd never been exposed to except in yearly rituals and letters from distant relatives.

First Instance of Magic: Yasuo was seven, locked in a closet by his peers, and fearful enough of the enclosed space that his magic broke the door down by the hinges, turning said fixtures to rust. To this day, he avoids enclosed spaces, to the point of always positioning himself close to the door of any room he discreetly can.
