Savannah Scott is a smaller-than-average, brown haired, blue eyed, eleven year old girl. Due to her pureblood status, the first several years of Savannah’s life were spent in her parent’s manor, with only the company of her two older brothers, and her caretaker. Due to her father’s career as an auror, and her mother’s status as a Healer at St. Mungos, Savannah and her brothers were raised primarily by their caretaker. Despite their parent’s absence, Savannah and her brothers grew up well, though a bit naive. Having not been allowed to play outside with the muggle children, Savannah and her brother’s grew up watching longingly from inside their parent’s home, distanced from both the muggle world, and the wizarding world. Not very long after Savannah’s 5th birthday, her mother died of dragon pox, an ailment which is normally quite easy to cure, however due to Mrs Scott’s refusal to visit her own coworkers for treatment, she succumbed to the disease at 30 years of age. Shortly after this, Savannah’s father sent his three children and their caretaker to their smaller, secluded cottage in Linwood, England, where they would remain for several years. Due to the sudden move, and her loss of the ability to watch and learn from the muggle children, Savannah became very shy, preferring to read or play with her brothers, rather than to entertain guests.
It was during this time that Savannah and her brother’s began to grow further apart. Soon after her 6th birthday, her eldest brother Greyson began to attend Hogwarts, and a year later, Finlay followed him, leaving Savannah alone with only her caretaker and the occasional visit from one of the nearby muggle families. Despite her tendency to hide whenever there was a muggle presence on the grounds, Savannah often got into trouble for her honest nature, and found that it was often better to remain silent rather than speak her mind. During her time alone in the Scott residence, Savannah’s brothers worked hard to make sure she didn’t feel so alone, recommending books and activities, and even encouraging Savannah’s budding friendship with a muggle girl the same age.
Savannah’s last few years in the Scott home were not ones of loneliness and boredom. The muggle girl, Ava, became a common visitor, and the two girls grew quite close over the next few years. Most of Savannah’s time after meeting Ava was spent playing outside and exploring the yard that Savannah had only once bothered to play in. It was during one particularly exciting game of hide and seek, not very long before her 8th birthday, when Savannah showed her first signs of magic. She excitedly wrote her brothers, describing how she had been playing with Ava and climbed the tree to avoid being “found”, and how when she had fallen, she was terrified of getting hurt and facing her caretaker who would surely have sent Ava home, but when she landed, she realized that she hadn’t been injured at all. To celebrate, her brothers sent her chocolate frogs and reminded her to make sure she didn’t mention her wizarding heritage to Ava. The following years were quite uneventful as Savannah impatiently awaited her 11th birthday, and the acceptance letter that would come with it.
