· Imora Corcilius ·
Introverted, Sincere, Kind

Original Application
Reducio
Physical Description: The young girl was thin and a bit frail, hair so pale as to look white in some lights, and skin to match. She'd easily burn to a crisp in the sun. Her round eyes were a grassy green, bagged, and betraying a history of wavering health. But she looked cheerful enough, her long hair often braided back, while her tastes leaned towards prim or cozy sweaters; a book in one hand, but a discreet, wandering eye for quidditch.

Mental Description: Not exactly shy, but definitely introverted. She comes off as a young girl with a good upringing, all 'thank you's and 'yes ma'am's, polite but quiet. The few friends she makes, she keeps close. It isn't in her nature to pick fights, or even to finish them, prefering to 'take the high road' even if it means she loses the encounter.

Analytical and thoughtful, Imora has already planned out her entire academic career and life beyond that. One would expect her parents' meddling, especially as she comes off as a girl of few words, but once one gets her talking on her plans...

Despite being a bit frail and anaemic, she (politely) brushes off people's pity, and the young girl's heart flipflops with anxiety at the idea of trying out for the quidditch team...! Next year. The two topics she will talk most on, are astronomy and quidditch.

Biography: The Corcilius' are a pure-blood family of reported German descent, and Imora grew up knowing family across the UK and the mainland. An only child, she was well-loved and a bit coddled, but managed a fierce independence despite that. Perhaps the result of dealing with chronic illnesses, anaemia being the most recognizable.

Her parents fostered her interests, and from a young age, Imora looked to the stars. In almost a scientific way, give her a telescope--give her a starmap--and you'll lose her for hours. She was homeschooled prior to attending Hogwarts, allowed to follow her own interests. Picking up a basic muggle education in maths and simple sciences, she devoured every wizarding book on astronomy and astrology--within her reading level--and every oversized muggle picture book of the Stars that her parents would buy her.

Her parents had originally planned to send her abroad, to study with her great uncle Hadley Corcilius--a noted wizarding astronomer in his own right. But when her health took a turn for the worse, and Imora was inflicted with lycanthropy, those plans were put to a halt. Overprotective, and worried she wouldn't receive the assistance she needed so far away, they sent her instead to Hogwarts, a school with a solid reputation for assisting students with her... ailment.

First Instance of Magic: Imora would often make her own mobile spin while in her crib. One instance even causing the little planets to float away from their set up, much to her parents' chagrin, as they had to collect them from several corners of the ceiling.
