Barrett Hemmings came from a long line of English pure-blood witches and wizards who were deeply into wizarding high-society and magical politics. They all held afluent careers, and when Barry came along, he was expected to do the same. Barrett grew up with a strict upbringing that bred a polite, neat, and orderly young little boy. Growing up, Barry spent much of his time reading, writing, sitting under trees and reading, sitting under trees and writing. The firt sign of magic Barrett displayed was when he was only 7 years old. He had climbed up a tree and was balancing on a thick branch when a strong gust of wind blew threw the leaves and knocked him off. When Barry finally became of age to attend school he had no idea which house would claim him as theirs. Throughout the generations, each member of the Hemmings family had been sorted into different houses. Most were in Slytherin, a couple in Ravenclaw and Gryffindor and a few individuals in Hufflepuff. Although unsure, when the big day had finally arrived, Barry was not nervous for he knew that whichever house he landed in, he would strive to do his best.
