Delilah was tall and slight with long straight hair almost as black as her eyes and warm but pale skin that could verge on sickly looking in winter. Her sharp straight features were softened by the roundness of her eyes and lips, which had a prominent cupids bow.
She mostly wore her hair down and free, apart from in potions, where she'd pin it up with her favourite flowery hairpin. She was never without some bright pinky red colour to her lips and cheeks and had a strong if unadvisable preference for heavy green eyeshadow. She also wore a jade bracelet, going so far as to sleep with it on.

She adores the arts, and can be found sketching, oil painting or studying, when not simply lying somewhere and dreaming. Very whimsical and idealistic, Delilah listens to romantic operas and loves to be out in the fresh air, surrounded by flowers and trees. She's not shy, but usually leaves speaking to the people around her, as she finds the world noisy enough without her voice added. She's more likely to talk to individuals she meets by the library, on the grounds or strolling the castle by night.

Delilah grew up with her Chinese mother, her French father dying when she was too young to remember him. As a small child she lived in France, but moved to England for her mother's work. The move upset her and her magic became out of control, saving her from being put in a muggle school, but damaging the furnishings, as they would get hideously water logged when she cried and it rained. Thankfully this settled down as she acclimatised, although her mother teases her to this day about the great downpour of her 6th birthday, when her first spark of magic resulted in a flooding room full of scared crying children...
