Berenice Greenwood was born to Emil Greenwood, a muggle, and Astoria Weiran, a pure-blood witch. Her mother died while giving birth to her. Although her father is alive, she has lived on a small farm with her grandparents, Walter and Maureen Greenwood near Crawley since she was a child, only seeing her father during the holidays. She is aware of the existence of magic, although she has never really had contact with it. Otherwise, she is quite unfamiliar with the world of magic, uneducated about the ways of the wizarding world and magic. She's not sure what to expect at Hogwarts, though her father assures her she will enjoy it just as much as her mother, a very proficient Ravenclaw witch did. She enjoys the outdoors and caring for the farm animals. She is kind, although quiet, and would prefer that others take the spotlight. She is friendly, perhaps to a fault as she can be quite naive about people's true natures. Entirely too trusting, she is easily hurt by those who have bad intentions. Her naivety and kindness get her into the most trouble, as she would never purposefully hurt anyone and would do anything to help others and make them feel happy. She is nervous that she will not do well in magic and hopes that she makes a few friends during her time at Hogwarts. She is not the most intelligent, but incredibly dedicated and hardworking, with a few natural talents and skills here and there.
