Jasmine Cassel
Status:
Half-blood
Nationality:
English
Residence:
London, England
Function:
Second year, Gryffindor
Wand:
33,7 cm beech wood and dragon heartstring
Age: 11
Physical Description:
Rather small for her age, Jasmine has always had a slender body. Paired with her light, airy steps, most would describe the petite girl as fairy-like. While her Arab descent isn't necessarily obvious at first glance, it shows in the slight curls of her dark hair, in her thick eyelashes, or even the amber of her iris. Her Korean blood, inherited from her grandmother, however, can be seen in her ever-so-slightly slanted eyes, or her smooth milky white skin, maintained with care.
Inspired by the fashion sense of her aunts, Jasmine has always had the habit of putting accessories in her voluminous hair, would it be ribbons or hairclips, perhaps as a way to get her thick strands away from her face, or simply for the look of it.

Mental Description:
While Jasmine might be rather intelligent and thoughtful, she has no qualms indulging in childish behaviors, missing no opportunities to make life a bit funnier. Malicious and quick-witted, her sharp tongue can be considered her main weapon. Her innate sarcasm, however, is unable to hide her pride. Curious and adventurous, she can be impatient or easily bored if not confronted with new challenges, driving her to constantly push herself to new limits and towards new horizons.
Because of her way of seeing life as a comedy, it can be hard for Jasmine to make sincere friendships, but the ones she does make are close to her heart.

Biography:
Despite being an only child, Jasmine has never been lonely, growing up surrounded by her parents, uncles, aunts and cousins, as one family. Being the youngest girl, she was always treated like a princess, protected by her uncles and cousins, and loved by her aunts.
Wizardry wasn't a big part of her life, as most of her wizard blood came from her mothers' side, rather than the paternal family she lived with. As such, she had a relatively normal childhood, growing up a bright and curious child, though prideful and daring.

First Instance of Magic:
Still a baby at the time, she was crying in her cradle when she suddenly appeared at its foot. Nobody seemed to question the event's unnatural cause, as the adults just thought it was the act of one of her older cousins.
