Physical Description: Ryan has black hair that is usually uncombed but he does put an effort to tame it for appearance's sake while in public. He has dark brown eyes that brightens to a near hazel-like colour when light hits it just right. He also has a mole just under his right eye with thin straight eyebrows. He still has his baby-fat so his face soft.

Mental Description: He is a quiet boy and tends to keep to himself because he is socially awkward. He doesn't know how to express himself verbally as he has a very tough time speaking without stumbling over his words. He can never seem to get his words out the same way he thinks and it frustrates him, so he never bothered to try unless he's spoken to. He's more comfortable expressing himself using actions. He's also impulsive and reckless, for example, if he's bored out of his mind he would do whatever came out of his head; like jumping off a cliff. He's awkward around new people but if he finds anyone who willingly sticks by him, he will not let that person go.

Biography: Ryan's father, Thomas, is a half-blood in his early 40s and his mother, Min Hwa Yoon, a Muggle from South Korea whom went to London for a scholarship programme. Ryan's father didn't tell Hwa Yoon about his wizardry background until after they married. Understandably, she's surprised and a little scared but she still stayed by him albeit their relationship is strained from trust issues. When Min Ryan was born, his parents argued day and night about the way they wanted to bring him up. Thomas wanted to keep the wizardry bloodline going however Hwa Yoon just wanted her child to have a normal childhood. This clash of parenting caused a rift between them with Ryan caught in-between.

First Instance of Magic: Ryan is often bullied because of his inability to speak properly. Because of this, he often gets into fights where he speaks up for himself using his fists. Then one day, he was having a bad day after witnessing his parents argue yet again about involving magic in their supposedly muggle life. It was right before his dad’s friend and his family (who were also wizards) were going to come over for dinner. He would rather stay in his room, curled up in bed and listening to his favorite music. He is not in the mood to socialize with anyone but he wasn’t allowed to hide himself up in his room. When the guests arrived, his day soured even more when the guest’s son, about his age, kept poking him and making fun of him. It was irritating enough that he knew to hide his bullying under the guise of “getting to know each other” so none of their parents knows what’s really happening.

It was, obviously, a lie.

But they don’t know that so he had to endure it while acting polite and proper. After dinner, their parents still wanted to chat so he was left alone with the bully in his room. Why his room? His father said it was to bond better with his friend’s son. He was just trying to mind his business and wanted to be left alone but apparently the boy didn’t get the memo. After the nth time of being poked and pushed, he finally had had enough when the boy crossed the line by calling him a mute. Propriety be damned, he punched the kid. Not that hard, just a little smack but then, the boy slammed against the wall all the way across the room. Books were knocked off the shelf where he bumped against it. The boy groaned and they were both stunned into silence. Neither of them expected it and they didn’t know what to do next. However, the noise attracted the adults downstairs and they came rushing up.

The scene they stumbled upon was the room a mess, with books strewn all over the floor, Min Ryan standing shocked silly and the boy sitting against the opposite wall holding onto his ribs. They were lucky the guests weren’t muggles or else Ryan would be in much bigger trouble. After a series of apologies to the guests, they left and Ryan was scolded for punching guests. They did understand he didn’t mean to use magic, hell, he didn’t even know he’d get magic. The lecture turned into another argument between his parents but he wasn’t paying much attention, he was too busy staring at his hands in wonder. Curious to know what else he could do.
