Lace was born of morning shine and stardust. Her eyes like two pools of honey, her hair twisting into a well framed afro, the tips died birch wood blonde. Her body was thin and tall, taller then most boys her age. She enjoyed dressing herself in button down shirts that are far too large and a set of suspenders for her knee length skirt. Her mother was an accomplished witch, though they primarily lived a muggle lifestyle. Before Hogwarts she spent her years at an average primary schools with average muggle children. She seemed to always be the trouble maker, pulling hair and starting fights, but only those that she could rightfully end.
It wasn't until she unintentionally turned a child's hair blue that her parents, Hannah and William Koin, realized she was a witch like her mother. Though her father was overjoyed at this discovery, her mother was less then thrilled. Her mother enjoyed the wizarding world, but knew the dangers that is could bring, and as a graduate of Hogwarts, she knew the risks of some of the schooling there.
Despite her mothers hesitation at first, she agreed to allow Lace to pursue magic. Though they first transferred Lace to private schooling to avoid any accidental magical mishaps. This of course put a bit of a strain on the family. They had always lived as a rather modest family but as usual they found a way to get by. For weeks on end after the discover of her magic, Lace would brag to her baby brother Lincoln. He was hardly three years of age, but Lace spoke to him like he was her own age. Lace was curious if her brother would one day develop magic like her.
When the news of her acceptance into Hogwarts arrived she was overjoyed. The support of her parents meant the world to her, and though money was always tight, they would make it happen. Only weeks away from her first day and she can hardly contain the giggles that overtake her at times. A kind and gentle smile almost always dances on Lace's face. Thrilled to discover what adventures she may face at her new school.
