As the chill summer moon was rising over Godric’s Hollow, a small, but magical village in the West Country of England, a baby girl was born in the loving arms of her parents. Her mother, Esmeralda Roelle, a powerful French and Italian witch, and her father, Aaron Vaughn, an English muggle, had been married and in love since the beginning of time, yet had had many difficulties in conceiving a second child. With the differences in the Muggle World and the Wizarding World, Aaron's parents were not thrilled by his love for a witch, and they banned him from ever returning. Through this difficult time, with him having to leave his world behind, his love for Esmeralda grew stronger, and yet he still managed to explore and show the muggle world to his two children: his first-born son, Romeo, and his youngest daughter, Aurora. It was a loving family and a childhood for Aurora filled with fantasy, dreams and hope for her future.

Her life was a fairytale, until her mother passed away when Aurora was only the age of five, due to childbirth. Her father, her older brother, herself and her newborn little brother, Caspian, moved to Marseille, France, to go live with her mother’s mother, Adelaide Roelle. Her grandmother was a caring and sweet woman, and after the death of Aurora's mother, the family had a hard time coping to this new change. However, the memory of their mother still lingered, and the family bonded over her passion for magic. With Aurora's father being muggle-born, he couldn't help much in the magical aspect of his children's lives, but his support was unstoppable. Adelaide prided herself on teaching her grandchildren the basics of magic, and told them stories of her life as a beloved witch, which filled them with endless excitement for the future.

Aurora first knew of her magical capabilities on the very first day she was in France. Her family had been spending every waking moment together, afraid to leave one alone with their thoughts to reminisce of their mother. But, on the day they moved to France, her family was entirely preoccupied with the moving process, and so this gave Aurora some time on her own to explore around her grandmother’s house, also known as her new home. She walked around the hallowed halls alone, tracing her fingers up and down the wallpaper, until she reached a closed door. With her mind intrigued, she opened the door, only to discover her mother’s childhood bedroom. Old posters, books, toys and clothes flooded the room, and Aurora became overwhelmed with her mother’s scent. Unable to contain her grief, Aurora burst into tears, and to her surprise, so did the entire room. Rain was falling from the ceiling, surrounding her entirely. Droplets of water were falling hard onto the surface of her mother’s belongings. The next thing Aurora could remember was her father’s tight arms around her, carrying her outside, away from the very room that she would later call her own. During her time in France, she had never felt closer to her mother.

Aurora became a strong, brave, intelligent and independent girl, who was also caring and loving and valued her relationships with her family very much. Many say she is exactly like her mother, and she works hard everyday to live up to her mother’s memory, and to make her proud.
