Saoirse Duende was born to a muggle and a half-blood, becoming the third and youngest child conceived by the two. The family-consisting of five members-lived and majorly stayed in Bangor, Wales until they moved to Greece for about four years. Being the youngest, Saoirse has no memory of ever living in Wales until the family moved back to Bangor when she turned ten, and is fluent in Greek. While living in Greece, Saoirse's older siblings attending a wizardry school there and excelled in their courses- putting even more pressure onto Saoirse's shoulders.

Once the family moved back to Bangor, Saoirse's parents enrolled her sisters into Hogwarts-one being placed in Ravenclaw and the other in Hufflepuff and the two soon found a place within the school and their houses. Saoirse was being home-schooled by then and was fairly decent in her courses but was always being compared to her sisters-Roisin and Maeve, her parents claiming that the girl wasn't as kind or bright as the other two. This obviously offended her but she tried not to show it and became more reclusive for a period of time.

Overall, Saoirse's nothing like the other members of her family. Her mother and Maeve are both bookish and quiet-tending to stick to themselves and the family's reading room, while her father is loud and extremely brazen, and Roisin's very humble and considerate. Saoirse on the other hand can come off as offensive, sarcastic, controlling, and unapproachable-which is somewhat true but she just doesn't like most people, well actually all people.

Growing up, Saoirse normally played by herself-finding comfort in not having to share and in being in control of her surroundings; this played into her being a "loner" and very controlling. Her first signs of magical abilities came when she was about two-and it was purely because she was angry. Her mother was trying to feed her blended kale and spinach, and Saoirse-being a picky eater-wanted something else to eat, so she slammed her hands down on the table and the bowl of blended vegetables floated and the proceeded to flip onto her mother's lap. Everyone was surprised and excited but there was an undertone of caution-because in the rest of the year Saoirse's magic would spike up when she was angry.

Saoirse's appearance is a mix of her father's appearance and a weird combination of her sisters'. She has shoulder length black hair and almond shaped eyes-that come from her father's Asian descent, a round face, fair skin tone (partially due to her being inside almost all of the time), and a dark eye color. She stands at 5'2" and is the smallest of her rather tall family and is normally called Shortcake or Peanut. She's not very fond of the names and normally insults those who refer to her by them. And while she has naturally dark brown/black eyes, Saoirse normally wears pale green contacts which when placed on her dark eyes, gives off this hazel-green look.
