Hello! My name is Shannon Martins. I am eleven years old. I live in London with my family. We are a Pure Blood family, so I don’t know any muggles, but I have some friends.

About my first name:
Shannon. I love my first name. Not too feminine, just... mine. I don’t care whose name it is, or it was, in the family. It’s just mine. But one day, my mother did something I will not forget tomorrow. She called me Shannie in front of my best friend. Shannie! What a ridiculous name! My friend couldn’t stop laughing. This day, I decided I needed another name, a second one. I chose it carefully. Since this day, I am Shannon during the day, and Onyx at night time. For now, I don't know what I am going to do as Onyx, at night, but I think I will discover that at Hogwarts.
About my age:
Age is a number. I don't care about what people think. I let them speaking, they say I am too young to do something great.
How I discovered my magic:
I always knew this day was going to arrive. I was on my seventh birthday, I had asked for a green cake, but it was pink. I got angry and the cake began flying.
About my family:
I have two siblings : my big brother is 15 and my sister is 14. We loved playing together, but when they went to Hogwarts, they nearly forgot that I existed. Tom lived as a Gryffindor and Sarah as a Ravenclaw... I stayed at home. Did I have the choice?
When I received my famous letter, I was happy to finally go to Hogwarts too. I was not unhappy at home, but my parents are not here very often... They are always working! I hope I will have fun in this school.

I am not someone in particular. I am just myself. The only person I want to be. I don't know if I am pretty or not. I am not really tall, but not really small. My hair is not too long, not too short. I have brown hair and hazel eyes. What other people can think or say isn't useful in my life. When I know what I want, nothing can stop me.
