Hello! My name is Gizmo King.
I'm a first-year at Hogwarts. Both of my parents are Muggles, so I'm new to this whole experience.
I was born on March 17th (yes, St. Patrick's Day) in 2009, adopted by my Muggle fathers in 2011. I've grown up with them ever since then.
I was initially born a female, but as I grew up, I began to realize that wasn't for me and that I was born the wrong gender. I was incredibly glad to realize that my fathers were supportive of me either way!
I don't know much about the world of wizardry and witchcraft, so it might take me a while to figure some things out. I'm also not much of a fast learner, though I do my best to not disappoint.
The first time I experienced magic was around my 7th birthday. I was happily opening gifts when I remember the wrapping paper gracefully removing itself without me even touching it. A few years later, I was confused to receive a letter from Hogwarts but could not hide my excitement when I learned that I had magic within me that my parents had never experienced before.
Maybe the parents who gave birth to me before I was adopted were magical, but I wouldn't know since I never got to meet them.
I hope to learn a lot of things and make plenty of friends while I'm at Hogwarts! I'm usually timid, but I'm excited to be able to talk to fellow witches and wizards and learn more as I become a student at Hogwarts!
I plan to lead by example and be a good student. I want to be able to carry on from this experience and do good for the world as a wizard. This whole thing is so thrilling to me and I want to do my best while I'm a part of it.
