Personality Most that know her would agree that Rosalina’s defining characteristic is her bravery, though the word choice always varies. Some would say she’s courageous, others brazen, some bold. It makes sense as Rosalina hates fear. Every fear she’s ever had, she’s made herself face to rid herself of it. She strives to be fearless despite the futility of such a desire. She is also known to be quite impulsive and stubborn. She rarely thinks before she speaks acting on whim and passion rarely ever consulting her head first for logic. She’s also a very hands-on learner. She doesn’t like sitting still for very long and yearns for activity. Needless to say, she’s not very patient. Her quick wit and confidence enables her to make friends fast, but she doesn’t put forth the emotional investment required for close friends, so while she has many friends, she doesn’t have any close ones. She finds close friendships difficult not only to achieve but maintain, but deep down she longs for one.
History Rosalina was raised by her mother and father in London. While she loved her mother, she always held a particular fondness her father, Azariah Flame. She learned much of what she knows from him, and he knew a lot. He was held in high regard by the Ministry of Magic as a capable auror. Rosalina at a young age never fully understood the danger that came with his career; she constantly told her father that she planned to follow in his footsteps. Whenever her father returned home from a job, she would always be waiting for him to divulge the day’s events over steaming cups of tea. Then, one day her father didn’t return. She still remembers the rain and the sound of the doorbell and the voice of an unfamiliar man. Her relationship with her mother was henceforth strained. They engage in heated altercations often ending in one storming into her room and slamming the door closed. Azariah was the light of both of their lives, and neither of them could be what he was to them for each other. While they do love each other, they have a difficult relationship.
Magic Origins Rosalina was always fascinated by her father's wand and was enraptured by his vivid descriptions of the wizarding world. She soon wanted nothing more than to be part of it. Her father explained to her that there was no guarantee she could be. Rosalina was furious and somehow without even moving upended several pieces of her mother's favorite tea set. What she had wanted so badly, she finally found... she had.
