Background:
Clara Bode is a pureblood. The Bodes are an old and powerful family, very influential in the Wizarding World even though they are not part of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. Clara was brought up to be a proper young pureblooded woman.
First Sings of Magic:
When Clara first showed signs of magic, it was not a big surprise. Her parents expected it of course since she came from a family of witches and wizards. She was around two years old when she performed accidental magic. In the middle of a meal, she managed to vanish food she did not want to eat from her plate.
Personality:
She is rather aloof with all of those around her, tending to stay in the background. She is by no means shy, rather she likes to observe situations before she jumps in. When she does interact with people, she is witty and sharp, borderline snarky when irritated. Clara is not intentionally rude or mean when she speaks with people, it is simply an instinctual defense to hide how insecure she is about her self-worth. Having strict and traditional pureblooded parents result in many a lecture and expectations to be perfect. If you get to know her and become close enough, she will let her masks down and show a gentler side.
Appearance:
At eleven years old, Clara is average height, standing around 5'3" with a slim figure and delicate features to match. Clara was always taught to maintain her appearance as it is the first thing people see. She has long black hair that reaches the small of her back and dark brown eyes.
Likes:
She is secretly a large lover of animals, though it is not a well known fact about her. Her parents never allowed her to have a pet, but Clara always held a soft spot for animals that would roam the grounds around the Bode Manor or pets her friends owned. She found their company was preferable to people most of the time as they did not judge and were great listeners. When she is not in the daily lessons her mother put her through to become a proper young woman, Clara can be found curled up somewhere with a book in her hand. Whether it be in her bedroom or somewhere on the vast grounds of the manor, she loves to have quiet time to herself.
Dislikes:
Large gatherings or extravagant parties. While she does enjoy hanging out with her friends now and then, she hates when her parents host large get together or force her to attend other pureblood gatherings. She finds everything to be over the top and hates how fake everyone acts. It is suffocating and she would much rather be home with a book. Though she would be lying if she said she did not enjoy getting all dressed up. The small, vain part of her liked showing off. She also hates when people try to get close to her just because of her family name.
