Emilia is a strong, but kind-hearted young woman. She is not afraid to defend anyone close to her and although she is only 11, as a first year student, she is quite fiery and will not take any hurtful thoughts, words, or phrases, especially if they're towards her friends or those close to her. She is from a muggle born family, and an only child so the whole wizarding world is quite new to her. The letter came as quite a surprise to her parents but they were quite excited to have someone so different as a part of their family. Emilia began to realise her magic not too long before receiving her letter, around a few months before, as for the first 10 years of her life she had shown smaller signs, but seemed to recognise no signs of magic. This happened when she was sat reading, but as she went to do something, she dropped her book into a small puddle, which usually would ruin the book, but she found she was able to pick it up without any damage done. Although it's not necessarily the most obvious form of magic, it was then Emilia began to realise the possibility. A couple of weeks before receiving her letter, she was slowly beginning to notice weird things that happened in her past, and when she received her letter, she began to understand why all this happened.
