Alex Walker was born just outside of North London to a Muggle mother, Katie Walker, & a Half-Blood Father, David Walker. His mother Katie is a sport's therapist and has been able to work with professional athletes to make a living. David works for the Ministry of Magic within the Department of Magical Games and Sports. Alex is of average height for his age, 4'7" and pale complexion. He has dark brown, almost black, hair with light blue eyes. Alex is timid & cautious but extremely outgoing with his friends & family. Alex tends to be the voice of reason within his friend group, keeping his friends out of too much trouble. However, Alex would rather get himself in trouble with his friends, than to be left out of the group entirely. His mother Katie hoped that her son would be Muggle, or 'normal' like her. Not that Katie didn't like wizards & witches, but she had never raised one before.. His father knew that this would not be the case and that one day his son would display his magic. This became clearly evident one Christmas eve when Alex was staring at his presents under the tree. It was tradition in their house that they each would choose one present to open before bed. Alex had been contemplating this decision all day, and the time to make that decision was nearing. "Well... you've been staring at these presents all day, have you made up your mind on which to open this evening?" His mother asked. This decision was an extremely stressful one for a ten year old and he started to become frustrated with himself. He had narrowed his choices down to two, but couldn't quite make the final decision. Without physically touching either present, they began to lift off the ground. Both presents began to slowly float towards Alex, and they seemed to start unwrapping themselves. His mother Katie was taken back as she didn't think her son was capable of magic. His father David entered the room and used his own magic to place the presents back under the tree. Alex curiously turned to his father, as did his mother, for guidance. David laughed & lifted Alex up from the ground. "I think it's time for bed, we'll open presents in the morning." His father stated with a calm tone. His father's calmness kept him at ease but Alex was still curious to what had happened. He had seen magic before but it always seemed controlled & on purpose. He didn't purposefully try and lift the presents with magic.. at least he didn't think he did.
