Lyra has wavy light brown hair and deep blue eyes. She gravitates towards sport wear and bright colors, although in the picture it was a day where she wanted to wear darker colors. She's pretty kind and compassionate, and kind of smart as well. Lyra loves animals, is slightly squeamish around insects, and is average height. She enjoys playing Quidditch and prefers being a seeker. She can act impulsively sometimes and say mean things by accident, and sometimes she can be awkward around others. She really likes to read fantasy but dislikes nonfiction, as well as history and geography, and she enjoys writing poetry. She has learned a few simple spells, like Lumos, but without the handwork. her first sign of accidental magic was at 8, where she was playing with a puppy and the dog tried to eat a blade of grass. She protested and the grass turned into dog food because she didn't want the puppy to get sick. Lyra also stutters quite often.
Her father made sure that Lyra was exposed to as much art as possible. She enjoys sings, plays the clarinet, piano, and really wants to learn the guitar, but her passion lies with writing songs, poems, and dancing.
Her mom is a witch and her dad a muggle. He was French and thus taught the language to Lyra and her mother. They treated her kindly and she led a happy life. Her father passed away due to dragon pox when she was 11, a few months before going to Hogwarts, and Lyra was by his side when he died. Her mother, Lily Lake, is very kind and hard-working as well, and has a position in the Ministry. Lyra sometimes has nightmares about her father. Lily also gave birth to Lyra's twin, however he died at 7 years old, also from dragon pox, which also frequently gives her nightmares.
She's really excited to be going to Hogwarts.
She is also fascinated with magical creatures of all kinds.
