Genevieve is a ditzy chatter box and enjoys meeting new people almost as much as she loves learning and seeing new things. She has a particular interest in plants and science as a whole, but struggles with math. Growing up in Daventry, she often took trips with her mother, Kathrine, to the Daventry Country Park and other places where she could get away from the normal bustle of the city and observe nature. She cherished her nature walks with her mother almost as much as her time in her father, Eli, in his personal library.

As a pure blood she was only slightly surprised when a plant she was particularly upset with for wilting suddenly combusted. Her parents, after putting out the fire, thought they could not be happier. But they were when her acceptance letter to Hogwarts came. Kathrine was a Hogwarts graduate and Eli graduated from Drumstrang but secretly wanted Genevieve to go to Beauxbatons. He still hopes that her little sister, Isabell (Genevive usually calls her Bell), will go to Beauxbatons.

Kathrine works for the daily prophet as a reporter and Eli is an Alchemist. They agree that Genevieve got her love of science from her father, but she got her gregariousness from her mother. For the time being, Genevieve thinks she would like to be a healer or a herbologist but also thinks being a dragonologist would be interesting. Who does not love dragons? She has her mind wide open and is excited to learn and make new friends at Hogwarts.
