This is how her family first learned that she was a witch. Her grandmother was watching Alyssa as she ran across the road. It had been a very dreary day, and there was still a dampness to the air. Alyssa was almost to her grandmother's door when she slipped on a puddle in the road and started to fall. However, instead of crashing to the ground, she floated for a moment and eased down. Her grandmother was ecstatic and called the whole family over for a party to celebrate.
