Tya Dres is from Dublin Ireland, and is the daughter of Franz Dres, an Irish librarian, and Eliza Dres, a nurse. Tya is fair toned, and has red-blonde hair. She takes more after her dad than her mom. She has a tendency to push people away, and is slow to trust, but once you are her friend she will always try and be there for you. How she discovered she was a wizard was when, as she was reading the book, "Arrows of the Queen" a small image of Thalia and Rolan suddenly appeared and galloped around her head and then back into the book. Tya is an avid reader, and has great interest in learning magic, but she has a tendency to word things confusingly, and enjoys giving and receiving harmless pranks. Her greatest dream is to become a musician, and to work towards that, she has learned to play piano and the lyre. She is looking forward to learning transfiguration and charms, but dreads potions, as she has trouble memorizing names, and worries that she will miss a step. She is hoping to be able to do well in classes despite her lack of familiarity in magic, and her tendency to get flustered when confronted or confused. She is also pretty clumsy, and only gets more so when in an uncomfortable or confusing situation. She speaks Spanish, as she was taught by her great grandmother on her dad's side, Rosa Dres.
