Before joining Hogwarts School, Tabitha lived in Acton, which is in greater London in England. She is pale, with brown eyes, and dark, curly brown hair. Her parents are both Wizarding folk. Tabitha was in awe on the rare occasions her parents would use magic in front of her, but much to her frustration, they would not talk further about magic when she asked about it.

Her mother runs a very successful Magical Coffee Shop, making the muggle drink more known to the wizarding world. Tabitha enjoys strategic games such as Wizards Chess and, due to her aptitude with it, would often challenge the customers to a game. Her father was not home very often, and according to her mother, has a job which requires him to travel to different countries. He occasionally would send letters home by owl.

Regarding her parents, her mother worked full time, and since her father wasn’t home, she was often alone in the house. Her mother would return in the evenings, and go to bed right after a late dinner. Due to this lack of parental connection, Tabitha grew up very independent, but also socially distant. She harbored a kind of loneliness a lot of children her age wouldn’t understand.

Tabitha did not have very many friends, because she felt like the other kids her age were immature and she would get annoyed with them.

Occasionally, her peers would tease her for her curly hair, which was considered unruly at times. Tabitha would get upset and then strange things would happen to them. One time, a boy’s clothes turned inside out. Another time, a girl’s shoelaces would get knotted together without Tabitha touching them.

Perhaps the strangest incident in general was when her uncle Murphy told her to be less lazy, after she had a very active day. Murphy was drinking an iced coffee and as he took a sip, he burnt his tongue. Needless to say, her mother was very upset, despite Tabitha explaining that it was unintentional.

As she got older, she started to gather up the courage to talk to the older customers in the Coffee Shop. They would help fill in knowledge about magic that her parents never bothered to explain.

It can be said that Tabitha has 2 sides to her personality. An outer image, and a deeper, more fragile inner one. Though she is outgoing when it comes to chess competitions, she is a bit reluctant in other matters. She aspires to have social connections, yet is reluctant to initiate them right away. She carefully observes and evaluates individuals before she befriends them.
