Reina has long black hair which can't decide whether to be dead straight or wavy. Her eyes are a very light blue, with a slight upturned slant. She's often mistaken as part Japanese, though her family line is of ancient Greek. Her heritage is featured in her somewhat classical face shape, which is oval with a distinct Grecian nose and straight forehead.
Reina's immediate family history is the lessor known pureblood line Hepburn, commonly confused with with the Northumbrian Muggle family. Though they live in the same area, Reina's family comes from an ancient line stemming from the Greco-Roman sorceress Tigris Tarheptian, and the Scandinavian warlock Beorn; their surname is actually a contraction of the words hepta, meaning seven, and beornmeaning bear, which signify the unification of the two powerful people.
Given her proud lineage, Reina feels a great deal of pressure to live up to her name. She is conscientious and self aware, though somewhat proud and stubborn and lacking in humour. She is also adventurous, and a more 'big picture' type of thinker, willing to take on difficult tasks for the greater good. Reina can sometimes be impatient with others, especially those who are more detail orientated and cautious, but once she understands their methods, she will invariably adapt and compromise.
Reina first showed signs of magical ability when she was very young, about 3 years old. Back then, she was a rather picky eater, and thoroughly disliked tomato. So when her mother, Gabrielle, tried to feed her a forkful of the stuff one evening, she reacted with vehemence. Reina thrust out her hands, and in an instant a kind of force field appeared, sending her mother tumbling. It only lasted a few seconds, but Gabrielle was overjoyed (despite a bruised bottom). Through out her early childhood, Reina continued to show her powers, including most importantly an affinity with animals and a latent ability for Transfiguration. At age 11, Reina is inquisitive, creative and eager to evolve her rather impressive repertoire of accidental magic.
