William Erikson wasn't raised in a normal family, or at least not like ones of other people. See his dad was an English Ambassador, meaning he rarely ever spent time with William. That caused a slight distrust in William, and around the age of ten he started to doubt anyone would do what they said unless they had a personal gain and never held up a high expectation. His mother was the only except for this, because she always made it to what he needed, and he never asked her for more. He was also bullied at school due to the fact that his family was richer then most people, and that was even when he was going to a private school. Lucky his mother was a teacher at the private school he went to, so he had plenty of time spent with her, but that also meant he was bullied about that too.
From a young age William was always a quick thinker, at least, when he wasn't facing girls. There was something about girls that made him uncomfortable even from a young age. It didn't help much that his friends always told him that they had cooties or that girls always wanted love if they were talking to a boy. When he was eight he picked up his first chapter book, and he couldn't stop reading them. He hid this fact from his friends and tried to act all tough, which mostly worked, but he always kept up his good grades.
One day while William was studying in the school library he was going to get another book to read, but it was on a high shelf and he could barely get his fingertips over the top of it, even with a tall stool under him. When he finally got a good grip on the top of the book, the stool started to rock out of under him. He panicked and grabbed out, trying to get something to hold him up, but his hands only hit more books, bring them down with him. He closed his eyes, waiting for his body to hit the ground, but it never did. He opened his eyes to see his body floating in mid air along with the books. He freaked out, suddenly falling down, and a couple books hit his head as if to prove a point. He quickly grabbed his bag and ran out of the library, hiding in the school bathroom, waiting for his next class. He didn't tell anyone about what happened, not even his mother.
One day he got a fancy looking letter, expecting it to be for his dad, but his name was who it was to be sent to. He opened it and found it as an invitation to Hogwarts, and that begun a new journey in his life.
