Emerson Montgomery was born on January 14th, 2008 to Regina and Alexander Montgomery. She grew up in London, England with her parents and two younger siblings, Henry and Phillip, and their family pets. She has long, curly, dark blonde hair that reaches the mid of her back and bright blue eyes that almost look gray. Since birth, her mother always makes sure she is dressed in the most presentable, fashionable clothing as possible.

Growing up, Emerson, never had a need for anything. Living in Knightsbridge, the family home was quite large enough for Emerson to have her own space. The house had been her great-great-grandfathers and was passed down to her own father and mother.

Her father, Alexander, works as an Auror for the Ministry of Magic and her mother, Regina, is a writer for both Muggle and Magical books alike. As their firstborn child, Emerson embodies personality traits from them both. She values her intelligence and strives to be the best of the best. This, however, can sometimes be her disadvantage. In her schooling before Hogwarts, she found it difficult to make lots of friends because of how mean she would sometimes be. At times, her ambition to be better than those around her causes her to push away people.

On her tenth birthday, she threw a party and invited many friends to the occasion. Though it was a day supposed to be filled with happiness and joy, it quickly turned sour after Emerson was rejected by her friends. During the party, Emerson approached a group of her "friends" who had just arrived at the party. She asked them if they wanted to join her for a sleepover afterward, but they all replied with no before leaving. This left Emerson very upset and angry.

As the group began walking away, she tried calling out to them, but they ignored her. In her anger, she began to scream out to them. Her anger caused something very odd to happen that the family had not experienced before. Out of nowhere, a swarm of food from a nearby table flew above the group of girls and landed on top of them. The incident left the party-goers in a state of shock until Emerson's parents quickly rushed her into the house.

That is the night Emerson's mother explained to her what had happened. That summer, Emerson received her Hogwarts letter in the mail. Excitement filled her mind in anticipation of attending the school. Finally, she would be able to start fresh in a new school with new people to make friends with. Only this time, her personality would hopefully not get in the way.
