Growing up his parents were well off and as a result of having no siblings he became very spoiled always being given what he wanted. Hemlock's parents did fight, verbally, pretty often and while he just pretended not to care about he'd often hide in his room when it was happening to avoid being dragged into picking a side. When his magic first showed was when he was seven when his parents had been fighting, his parents had started fighting during dinner and he couldn't really leave. As it got worse Hemlock used his father's cup as a focal point as it was between them and it kept him from having to look at either of them. The glass, half empty, abruptly shattered without anyone touching it, his parents had brushed it off as nothing and Hemlock himself had been conflicted. On one hand he just knew it had to do with how intently he was focused on it, however on the other hand while his parents wanted him happy they had shown him from a young age that stuff like magic, mythical creatures, and similar didn't actually exist.

Hemlock is calm and care free, often coming off as someone who just doesn't care about anything. Even though he pays attention to what's happening most can't tell as he tends not to look at someone's who's speaking. This or just just pretends not to hear them talking at all. When looking at people he tends to look just over their shoulders and tho some don't notice other's do and think it's a result of him thinking of himself as better than them(not completely wrong). A bad habit he has either when annoyed or when he wants to get out of a conversation is to click his tongue.

Hemlock has pitch black hair that he keeps shorter and styled in front of his eyes which are a bright blue. There are times when he pins his bangs back and out of his face, typically for formal events, or anytime he's at home.
