Aoife is a sprightly, spunky and slightly-mischievous girl from Northern Ireland. Aoife has bright-blue eyes and a dirty, brown-blonde tone to her hair. She prefers to keep it long, either tied in pigtails or pulled back loosely. She has a slender, lightly athletic build that comes from a childhood habit of climbing trees and swimming.

Aoife was always known, back home, for being that little bit mischievous. Always quick with a joke or a prank, Aoife enjoyed being a bit of a clown with her friends at home. She always seemed to have an energy about her, drawing people into schemes and games around the park and playground. She acted before she thought things through properly, which made things a lot of fun but would occasionally get her into trouble. If she did something or said something that caused real trouble, or hurt someone in some way, she'd show genuine regret. Whilst she was a bit of a troublemaker, she'd never want to hurt anyone.

Aoife is a half-blood only child, with her mother being a witch and her father being a muggle nurse. She was brought up aware of the Wizarding World, with the expectation that she would be attending Hogwarts, like her mother did. Her father is supportive though worried about the world he doesn't really understand.

Aoife's magic started to show in the year before she was to attend Hogwarts. When messing around in the garden at home, she swung a little too hard on a tree branch and flung towards the window. With a scream, she travelled straight through the suddenly-empty window and bounced on the sink. Aoife was unharmed, but her parents were more than a little miffed at having to pay to replace the vanished glass in the window. With her magic manifested, both Quinn parents prepared for the eventual letter, confirming her attendance at Hogwarts.
