Ivy Seren Fontaine was born on 22.02.2008 in Kingston, London as the second child of a pure-blood wizard family and grew up sheltered in a big house in the company of her big brother and grandmother. Since her parents, aurors, are very busy, Ivy hardly ever sees her parents. Her grandmother, her father's mother, raised her and her brother Cedric alone. The family's focus, however, was on her talented and gifted brother, so Ivy came in second place. Only her grandmother kept her granddaughter company. Nevertheless, Ivy developed into a loner who had to learn to cope alone at an early age after the death of her grandmother. There was no possibility to find friends of the same age, because the Fontaine family lives in seclusion.
Ivy's magic came out late, when she was eight years old. The suspicion that Ivy might be a Squib weighed heavily on her parents' shoulders, but when Ivy learned of her grandmother's death, she unintentionally set fire to her parents' library in a fit of grief and anger.
Ivy is a rather demanding personality. She is very clever, hard-working, determined and ambitious, but also very focused on herself, because she never had to be considerate of anyone. To others she may seem arrogant and superficial at first glance, but inside Ivy is a very sensitive, lonely person who struggles for the recognition of her parents, whom she wants to make proud of. She seems strong, self-confident and independent, but she longs for someone to protect and help her.
She is a really skinny girl, but with strong shoulders. She is not very tall for her age, just 1.40 meters and she weighs 38 kilos. She has hip-length, blonde hair with dark areas and four prominent moles on her face. Their special feature are their eyes. These are clear and light green, a rather rare colour.
Ivy loves books and accordingly she spent her childhood between bookshelves. At some point she began to write herself to become aware of her feelings and thoughts. Books and writing are her greatest passion. Yet she also dreams of becoming an auror. Her parents are her greatest role models.
