Reagan and Amber Johnson met in their early teens during their tenure at Hogwarts. Needless to say, the journey was difficult though very rewarding and allowed the pair of them to graduate before both applying for jobs at the Ministry Offices in the Magical Law Enforcement Department. The married in their mid-twenties and two years later had the firstborn son, Kenneth.

Early years in llford, East London were relatively generic for the young boy. His parents worked hard to ensure that he had everything he needed. Early on, when Kenneth was around 5 years old, his parents felt the need to retain the services of a helper to maintain the upkeep of the Johnson Home as well as assist with Kenneth's needs. Though the boy didn't quite understand the need for it, he being quite independent on his own, he welcomed the company and quickly bonded with Doris.

Magic was a great fascination for the boy at a very young age. His parents did not really need to use magic much, other than the floo network for work trips and the odd charms here and there for convenience, but it was Doris who really exposed him to the wonders of magical abilities. From scrubbing the dishes, to sweeping the floors; she clearly had the entire cleaning arsenal of spells on lockdown.

Kenneth was loved by his parents deeply as well as Doris; who after 5 years of being with the Johnsons, became like family. Though he grew up with magic around him, he himself did not exhibit any real magical abilities until he turned 10 years old: he'd been playing in his tree fort in the back yard while Doris was having her tea watching him. Suddenly, and without warning, a forceful gust of wind shook the entire fort flinging the boy off the ledge to face an 10-meter drop the grass below. Inexplicably though, after letting out a yell of desperation and letting his hand out in front of him to brace for the impact, he magically stopped a few inches above the ground before thumping the floor a second later. Doris came running, of course, and turning the boy over onto her lap with a look of visible bewilderment, he stroked the boy's hair and whispered to him, "I wondered when something like that would happen, love."

On the evening of the day of Kenneth attaining the age of 11, a letter was flung through the mail slot in the front door. The family had just finished their birthday dinner and Kenneth was about to open his present from Doris. Collecting the letter from the welcome mat in front of the door, Doris walked over to him with a gentle smile on her face, "here love, I reckon you'd enjoy this one a little bit more eh?"
