Hi, my name is Adeola, but my friends call me Addy. I grew up in Westminster with my pure-blood family. Since then I have grew apart from them due to their beliefs. They both grow up wealthy and have since have acted disrespectfully towards others. By no way am I saying I hate them, on the contrary I love them just not their actions. My father is a Slytherin while my mother and brother, who graduated three years ago, are Ravenclaws. They don't have a "legacy" just their own fixed beliefs about houses. The house I believe I fit in, Hufflepuff, is not one of the "approved" houses in my family. All houses are equally amazing in my book, but Hufflepuff fits my personality best. My very opinionated father believes that my kindness makes me weak and stupid. On the contrary, I believe that kindness makes me stronger than they every believed I could be. It definitely doesn't make me stupid, or make me automatically wrong. My kindness isn't a crutch, but a ladder to reach untold heights.

In this way (and many ways) I am very different than them. I believe that social status, economic standing, or house doesn't change your worth. I'm not proud of their beliefs or actions but I hope that in time I can bring honour back to my family. I've been dreaming of Hogwarts since I knew what it was not because, in my father's words, "Hogwarts is the only dignified school that is offered." I believe the opposite of my parents, thus our split. I look at Hogwarts as a way to start my own life and follow my own path. A path of love, light and magic.
