Errr... Father, why are you studying that stuffed animal?" -Castiel Blackwood

Appearance: Castiel is about five foot and has what one might call slight feminine features, especially in the face. He has a fairly decent complexion and deepened pink lips. His eyes are a darker shade of blue and his hair a dark brown hue, usually it is kept at a medium length. He is not overly muscular but is in pretty good shape and does not have any baby fat.

Personality: Castiel is a kindhearted individual if not a little cheeky at the same time. Brave to a point, he is not one to back down when he see's wrong doing or mean behavior. He has a rather expansive adventurous personality and loves to learn new things. He could hardly be described as the smartest person in the room, but, he is quite intelligent for his age and always willing to lend a helping hand when its needed. He can be a bit on the quiet side around new people but can be quite a chatterbox when he gets to know you, and maybe a little mischievous.

History:

Castiel Blackwood was born in a smaller town named Edenbridge, England to pure-blood parents Matilda & Gregory Blackwood. The town of Edenbridge is a light mix of magic and non-magic folk so Castiel has spent pretty much all of his life around muggles, even more so than magic folk. His mother and father being rather eccentric and very interested in muggle life moved there about ten years prior to his birth. Life in Edenbridge is good if not a little mundane when it came down to it. His parents felt that Castiel should grow up in a normal life away from possible prejudice many pure-blood families still had. More than not because of this, Castiel found himself laying on a grassy knoll seeing shapes in the clouds or climbing trees for fun with other muggle children.

Around the age of eight was the very first time that Castiel exhibited any real magical ability when he accidentally slipped from a tree he was climbing and stopped his descent and possibly injuring himself severely. At first he was unaware he had done anything at all, but when he told his parents they could not have been more excited to hear it. After this incident, things did change slightly for Castiel, his parents began to teach him more of the magical world, to prepare him for his future.

Between the time of his first event and when he got his letter to Hogwarts, there were other instances of accidental magic but nothing worth mentioning. Now, on the edge of starting his life in the magical world, Castiel is apprehensive as the time ticks away until Hogwarts.
