Solomon Newrider is the son of a scotish low-ranking Ministry-official, called Brian Cattlemouth and a jewish-german mother named Maria Neureither (german for Newrider). His german grandmother fled from the Nazi-regime, because of her Jewish heritage and her magical nature. His grandfather died in the same war. His fathers heritage dates back to a low knight on the court of King Arthur of England, which was discovered during the second-wizarding war, where all ministry-officials had to make background-checks, to ensure their pure-blood-heritage. Brian Cattlemouth did not take part in the wizarding war, to ensure the safety of his wife and Salomons older brother Jonathan.
The Newriders came from a small village in Unst, Scotland, but his and his family lives in Edinborough now. His father has a little flat in London for his ministry-duties.

Salomon is a kindhearted child, who likes to smile a lot. His humor however leads to many problems in his childhood, because most of the time, no one get´s his jokes. Salomon is also very chaotic in nature. His first acts of magic included randomly exploding glasses, broken windows. In his second school year on a Scottish elementary school, he destroyed a aquarium filled with water, because a teacher humiliated him in front of the whole class.

Salomon has ice-blue eyes, brown hair and a cunning smile. He is about 1.60m tall, and he is wearing the colors of his family coat of arms: Red and black. The motto of his family is "The wand, the blade, the feather. A dragons soul for the Holy Grail." It´s the families duty to continue the search for artifacts, a duty, Salomon wants to uphold, too.

Salomon wants to become a hunter for magical artifacts in his adult life. His family is presumed to be the ancestors of the knight of Camelot, who lost the Holy Grail. At least, this is the myth, that has been told in his family for centuries. He wants to be the one to recover this legendary artifact. He is also interested in the Deadly Hollows, and even tho he is young of age, he was able to track back the Stone of Resurrection after the battle of Hogwarts to the Forbidden Forrest. He was able to do so by tracking back the history of some protagonists of the second wizarding war, the biography of Dumbledore by Rita Skeeter. He also recreated the route of the protagonists, which they took, while hunting Horkruxes and the Deathly Hollows. Even tho it´s still a mystery to this day, what happened during the battle of Hogwarts in the Forbidden Forrest, Salomon suspects, that Harry's survival has to do with the mastery of death. The speech of Harry Potter and the wand of Death is also widely known in the wizarding world. He will try to search for the stone, when he has the opportunity to go to the forest. He is sure, he won´t find it, because someone of the Ministry has since recovered this valuable artifact, but he want´s to be absolutely sure. At home, he has a big wall with clues and little articles, to every magical artifact, he wants to find. His father is also too mouthy about some secret topics, which were discussed in the Ministry of Magic and so the existence of the three artifacts of death were confirmed by him through accident.
