Hope is a shy, animal loving girl who grew up in a muggle home in London.  She has a hard time making friends, is a music lover, and probably spends a little bit too much time alone.
          As a child, she never had any close friends.  Although she had a not-so-close friend that moved away when she was nine, and she never made any friends since then for two years.  Her family has had many pets (dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, etc.) over the years, and she has loved them all, including a lizard that they don't speak about.
          When her family received her Hogwarts acceptance letter, her father actually thought it was junk mail, and threw it onto the pile with the rest of the junk mail.  Later her mother picked it up and read it out of curiosity, and ran upstairs to tell everyone about it.  When her mother told Hope and her father, they wanted Hope to start preparing immediately, even though they had no connections with the wizarding world at all.  They searched everywhere online until they found someone.  They then let the wizard take their daughter into Diagon Ally to get all her books and robes and whatever Hope needed to start her first year at Hogwarts off right.  Hope sat for the longest time reading her books and packing, unpacking, and packing again she was so excited.
