Born in the outskirts of Inverness to a muggle father and magical mother, Blair was their only child. Malcom Gaughf knew nothing of his wife's magical abilities ( he wouldn't find out until Blair's 11th birthday when he received his letter from Hogwarts ) . Fiona Gaughf had no intentions of telling him, not knowing how he would react. She didn't feel like it would be a bad thing, but, before Blair was born, she hadn't planned on bringing it up.

He had a normal childhood, mostly filled with dinosaur fossils and the like. Malcom's side of the family was filled to the brim with paleontologists and he had followed suit, hoping Blair would also be interested in such things. He definitely was, but that could be blamed on him just being a little boy.

Once Blair had received his letter, the truth had to come out-- And, like a loyal husband, Malcom accepted both his wife and son for what they were. Which was a good thing! After all, it's not like they were monsters. Fiona quickly realized how foolish it was for her to keep such a thing away from her husband. But she was glad it all worked out in the end.

Other than that, Blair had a relatively normal childhood. His love for fossils still hasn't died down, but he is definitely more interested in unlocking his magic-- Though, he was a little peeved that his mother hadn't told him that she was magical.



Blair is quite the spitfire. He is respectful and kind to his elders and to his peers; however, his temper is very short. His outbursts can be seen as childish, but they are extremely justified ( in his own opinion ) . Blair can feel too passionately about a subject or an opinion he has and that can cause him to blow as well.

Other than that, he does look after others, is caring to those that are weaker than he is ( but can get impatient if they hold him back ) , and loyal.

Oh, and he's also foul-mouthed as all hell.
