Mathilde Daniels is very headstrong, hardworking, and is occasionally most of the time sarcastic. Although she doesn't have many close friends, she was quite popular at primary school, often being the leader in any group activities that were being done, and taking charge when in sports. She can be very stubborn, and is not afraid to stand her ground, when she knows that she will win.

Mathilde has long, wavy brown hair, and matching brown eyes. She has quite fair skin, with only a few freckles spotted about.

Her mother is a witch, and her father is a Muggle. Her father doesn't like the magic side of things, therefore Mathilde was raised in the Muggle world, everything she knows about magic and Hogwarts has been taught to her by her maternal grandparents when she gets to visit them during the school holidays. Mathilde was born and raised in Edinburgh, her grandparents stay just outside of London.

Her grandparents first noticed she was magical when she was 8 years old. Toys that had been put away had a tendency to always appear back in Mathilde's hands if she really wanted to play with them.

Her mother was a Ravenclaw that came from a long line of Slytherins. She believes in the bias that Slytherin is an evil house, which places a strain on her relationship with her parents, who were both Slytherins. The Grandparents don't let this affect their relationship with Mathilde.

Although her father wasn't fond of magic, he was still a good father. He had a very hands on approach when it came to studying for school and doing homework, good grades were important to him.
