Aria "Ria" Kurrus is an 11-year-old witch, she is of German and English descent, her mother was a pure-blood from Chelsea and her father (Tobias), who was also a pure-blood, from Lower Saxony Germany. She looks just like her mother, Ria has her same coiling blonde hair with sharp widows peek, her pale skin, and icy blue eyes along with the eyesight they have so Ria wears fuchsia framed glasses, contrary to that though she has her father's strong German nose and chin.

Aria grew up in South Germany, on a large estate that belonged to her great-great-great-grandfather. Her mother (Beatrix) moved there to study healing under a few of the best doctor's in Europe. There she met Ria's father a young quidditch player who had broken his arm in a match, they fell for each other and eventually got married and had Aria. But sadly when they found out Aria was on the way they also realized that Aria's mother had cancer running through her veins. Ria's mother had leukaemia and refused treatment so that Aria could be born. This ended up with her mother's death and Aria being born 6 weeks too early. During the aftermath of her mother's death, Ria's father became withdrawn and decided without his wife he didn't want a child, so Aria was sent to be raised in England with her maternal grandparents. They were strict but fair and raised her to be a good little pure-blood girl. Aria and her grandfather are quite close, they both share a love of cooking and music, Aria's grandfather (Edgar) taught her about the politics of the Wizarding World. Ria is calm and cold in public and keeps her feelings to herself. Ria is a very closed off child, and while she respects authority for Ria to truly expect someone for who they are she must be shown reason to.

One thing that Aria and her grandmother do share is a love of books and reading, while Ria tends to enjoy more political and educational works her grandmother (Agnes) prefers more fanciful prose. This love of reading is what leads to Aria's first bought of accidental magic, at age 7, she was in her room and wanted her favourite book, focusing so hard on wanting her book it flew from the self and into her open hands. After her first showing of magic, Aria's grandparents grew more watchful of when and where and why her magic happened. After about her 3rd bought of accidental magic at the age of 10, her grandmother started to show her some small spells. Oculus Reparo and Alohomora are the only ones she knows the theory, incantation, and wand movements for as of right now.
