My name is Lucius Gryffin, and I’m eleven years old. I was born in Manchester, where I still live with my parents and my younger brother, Thomas, who is six at the time. I have red hair, pale skin and grey eyes and I’m 4.9' tall.
Even though my parents are both wizards, they still thought it would be a good idea to let me attend a muggle school, to learn how to read and write, and to learn a few things about the non-magical world. So I spend a lot of my early childhood learning about the muggle world at my school, while being taught about the wizarding world at home.
My parents first discovered that I had magical abilities, when I was ten years old, and we had to attend a family get-together at my aunt. I don’t really get along with my cousins, usually try to avoid them, while we stay there, however at that time he decided it was a good time to try to annoy me, by calling me names. I tried to ignore him, but as his nagging became unbearable I accidentally managed to make one of the books that I brought with me, fly at him, hitting his head. And even though he was quite mad about that, my parents were insanely proud, since I finally showed, that I was capable of magic.
As for my personality, I’ve always been quite shy and reserved and like to spend time by myself, so I usually spend a lot of my time reading. I love to read fantasy books, like “The Chronicles of Narnia” and “His Dark Materials”. However, my favorite book of all time is “The Thief Lord”, by Cornelia Funke. But even though it sometimes takes me a bit to warm up to other people, I’m looking forward to making lots of new friends at Hogwarts.
