Perrin Leveret
Status:
Half-blood
Nationality:
Canadian
Residence:
Dewsbury, England
Function:
First year, Hufflepuff
Wand:
30,3 cm dogwood wood and dragon heartstring
Personality: A friendly and approachable person, Perrin often tries to form friendships with everyone she meets. Although sometimes endearing to others, it can become tiresome or come off as rude. Due to her open and trusting demeanour, she can act naive and foolish, always believing the best in others even when it is unwise. Her attention span is quite short, sometimes hindering her learning in class, although she tries to stay alert. Sometimes during conversations, she can lose trains of thoughts, spacing out or going off-topic. While troublesome for her day to day life, she sees it as amusing, providing entertainment and a bit of randomness into every day. While seemingly an extrovert, Perrin actually values her alone time very highly, content with disappearing into the background and being left to her thoughts. A lot of the time, she will tell lies about herself, enjoying the confusion as different stories conflict, holding onto the entrancing shroud of mistery she believes she has. While aloof and a bit strange, Perrin is the one friend that you can always go to with your problems, although not always easy to find, you can count on her being there when your feeling down.
Appearance: Perrin has smooth copper coloured hair, often tied messily into a short ponytail. She has hazel eyes, fitting nicely with her tanned skin, and freckles dotting her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. When not in school uniform, you can usually find her wearing a variety of colours, while the shades are rather dampened. While inconsistent in clothing choices, you can always find her with mismatched socks, worn-out sneakers, and a couple of leaves and flowers tangled into her hair.
History: Perrin was a happy child, playing with other neighbourhood kids, exploring the woods and the creek, digging for lost treasure in someone's backyard. Things were always the best at home, though. Her parents had gotten divorced when she was about 4, although she can't remember much, she could recount some big arguments and fights. Being a half-blood, it put her parents in a tight spot since they didn't know if she would show any signs of magical power. This all changed, though, as she reached the age of 7. While climbing a tall tree outside, a branch broke and she began to fall. Strangely enough, instead of hurtling through the air, she sort of gently floated down, landing safely onto the grass. Other strange things began to happen, objects unexplainably bursting into flames, flowers blooming long before they were supposed to, and objects levitating in the air. Delighted to see that his daughter was a witch, Perrin's father began keeping her with him for longer than her mother. Her father repaired magical items for a living, keeping a never-ending stream of customers while her mother owned a pleasant flower shop filled with a variety of plants, some coming from exotic places far away. Now spending more time with her father and watching him work, she was unable to be with her mother as much. Whenever she visited her, she made sure to bring a small gift, whether it was a lucky pebble or a four-leaf clover, and brought some flowers back to her father. Slowly her parent's relationship began to mend, and they got on okay speaking terms. When she received her acceptance letter from Hogwarts her parents were overjoyed, although sad to let her go, they wanted her to be able to receive her education and see the world. While unsure of where her journey at Hogwarts will take her, Perrin is ready for her new life at their strange and wonderful school.
