Day is a young girl born to a muggle woman named Suzanne and a wizard man named Hunter in northern Canada. Shortly after her birth, Day's father and mother decided to split up. Her mother supported herself steadily for two years, before her father suddenly stopped paying child support. Day's mother moved them to Leicester to live for a short time with her grandmother while she searched for a new job. A year later, they were able to rent out an apartment in the city, and Day was already growing up to be a bright, social young girl. Her mother was a full-time waitress, and they had a steady income, and were making a local family for themselves.

Soon, Day was 5, and it was time for her to begin schooling. Around this time, Suzanne met a man named Robert. She began to spend more and more time with him, and he soon found himself at their apartment more often. Day thought he was very nice, and they got along well.

Another two years passed, and as Day was entering the second grade, Robert married her mother, and they moved in together. Around this time, Day was beginning to see the world in a different light. As she grew up, she was beginning to exhibit some supernatural abilities, and these abilities made her feel quite special, though she obviously had no control over them. She would find herself doing small things, such as untying knots on her classmate's jewelry, causing a piece of food to roll off of her dinner plate and onto the ground so her dog could eat it, making herself leap just a bit farther than she should have been able to, or causing the circuitry in her fridge to fry so her mother would let her eat ice cream for dinner before it melted.

Day, who was already quite the young leader, got a pretty big head about all of this, and often boasted to her classmates about the things she could do. Naturally, no one believed her. Just as naturally, whenever she tried to prove it, she came up fruitless. Suzanne and Robert both decided not to think much of it, chalking things she did at home to be nothing more than coincidence at best. However, Suzanne would occasionally joke about her daughter being a "Little demon."

Her magical abilities aside, Day is a smart, adventurous young girl. She takes pride in herself, and doesn't let others push her around, sometimes talking back to her teachers because of this. As confident as she is, she sometimes has trouble seeing things from someone else's point of view- her parents try to teach her to do this, but it is something she must figure out for herself.

When Day got her letter, she was ecstatic. She just KNEW there was something different about her- something that made her special. If she didn't already have a bit of a main character complex, she definitely did now. It would take quite a bit to break this down.

Day loves meeting new people, and is very easy to talk to. She doesn't have that good an understanding of when to stop. She is stubborn, tough, sharp, selfish, expressive, and always tries to give 100%.
