-Backstory?-
Hey, my name is Ame Shiraishi and I was born in Japan, my hometown being Ozu, in Ehime prefecture. My mother, a muggle, is Japanese, while my father, a pure-blood wizard, is from the UK, making me a half-blood. I lived in Japan for the first seven years of my life and moved to the United Kingdom due to my father getting a job at the Ministry of Magic. I chose to use my mother's surname, due to the fact that I had a great relationship with my late grandmother and want to keep her name with me. I now live in Bibury, England and am fluent in both English and Japanese- with minimal experience in Russian. My father uses little magic around the house so I know it exists- I just haven’t been around much of it. My magic started surfacing when I was around the age of 9 when an origami crane I folded flew around my room. After that, many more strange phenomena would happen around me and my parents immediately knew I was a witch. I was more than happy to receive a letter from Hogwarts, and my parents fully support me as well- as long as I get good grades.
-Personality!-
I like to think I am kind and hardworking, despite not socializing very often- as it tends to drain my energy. I am happy to be friends with anyone, as long as we all have a balanced relationship as friends. I am forgiving and open-minded, and will always try to see through other people's perspectives before my own. I am also always down for a walk in the rain.

-A little more information-
I appreciate when people are patient- I will usually not take initiative in a conversation. I love volunteering to teach or take care of little kids, which is how I get some of my money. I do tend to procrastinate when doing individual work, but if I am working on a group project, I will definitely get everything done.
I like books.
Thank you for joining my ted talk- alright yes I also appreciate memes.
